Aquí te expongo 5 razones para explicarte porque Tenerife es uno de las mejores Localizaciones para hacer exteriores, sobre todo, en pleno invierno.
Here are 5 reasons why Tenerife is one of the best locations for outdoors photoshoots, especially in the middle of winter.

Tenerife disfruta de uno de los mejores climas del mundo y por ello a menudo la describen como la “isla de la eterna primavera”. Situada junto a la costa africana, promete sol, cielos azules y cálidas temperaturas durante casi todo el año. Anualmente presume de más días de sol que la mayoría de destinos y de muy pocas precipitaciones, sobre todo en los meses de verano. De hecho, incluso en diciembre, hay un promedio de 5 días de lluvia en la isla.
Tenerife enjoys one of the best climates in the world and is often described as the “island of eternal spring”. Just off the African coast, it promises sun, blue skies and warm temperatures almost all year-round. It boasts more sunny days than most other destinations and very little rainfall, especially in the summer months. For example, in December it only rains on average for 5 days.
La combinación de vientos alisios y brisa marina produce un ambiente cálido pero no sofocante en verano y templado en invierno, con temperaturas que van de los 17 ºC a los 21 ºC.
No hay ningún otro sitio en la península donde se cumplan en invierno estas condiciones. En cualquier otro sitio de España será cuestión de cara o cruz. Si te vas a Baleares, Cádiz, Valencia, Almería… en Noviembre o Febrero, te puedes encontrar fácilmente con condiciones muy adversas. Nunca lo podrás saber con anterioridad, es decir, los 15 días anteriores necesarios para organizar la producción.
En Tenerife, sí. Tendremos asegurada esta temperatura para fotografiar en pleno invierno ropa de verano y por supuesto, baño.

You will not find such reliable conditions on the Spanish peninsula in winter. In any other place in Spain, it would be pot luck . If you go to Baleares, Cádiz, Valencia, Almería, etc in November or February, you can easily find yourself with very adverse conditions. As all photoshoots are planned at least 15 days in advance, it would be impossible to predict how the weather will be on the day. However, this is not the case in Tenerife. You can count on it being warm enough for outdoor photography in summer clothes or swimming costumes in the middle of winter.

Si cuentas con alguien que conozca la isla suficientemente, tu tiempo de localizaciones se puede limitar al del mismo día de llegada, y allí tienes profesionales a los que puede encargar desde la península, atrezzo, alquiler de vehículos, permisos y todo lo que necesites para disparar al día siguiente a tu llegada.
If you have someone who knows the island well, very little time can be required to finalise shoot locations and this can be done on the day of arrival. There are professionals that you can arrange props, vehicle rentals, permits and everything you need to start shooting the day after your arrive

3- FACILIDAD EN LAS LOCALIZACIONES

Este es un punto muy importante, pues en Madrid estamos acostumbrados a solicitar permisos y esperar 15 días para que te los conceda. A veces no tienes este tiempo de anticipación, o sencillamente no sabes que tiempo hará pasados estos 15 días.
This is a very important point, because in Madrid we are used to requesting permits and waiting 15 days for them to be granted. Often it is not practical for our clients to plan this far in advance, or we simply do not know what the weather will be like in 15 days’ time.
La facilidad y permisibilidad, es fundamental a la hora de ser operativos y poder cambiar de planes sobre la marcha según las condiciones reinantes, tanto de producción como de climatología.
En Tenerife si tenemos esta facilidad. Incluso algunas Agencias de modelos tienen permisos operativos para todo el año de las localizaciones mas utilizadas.
The ease and expediency with regards to obtaining permits in Tenerife means it is possible to change plans according to the prevailing conditions, depending on the weather or the photoshoot.
Some Agencies have yearly operating permits for the most popular locations.
Las localizaciones están siempre a tres cuartos de hora incluso las más alejadas. La accesibilidad a ellas es siempre fácil y aparcar una location van casi nunca es problema.
The furthest shooting locations are never more than three quarters of an hour away. Accessibility is always straightforward and parking a van is almost never an issue.

Uno de los principales problemas, cuando salimos de Madrid o Barcelona es el casting. Tenerife, sin embargo, cuenta con varias agencias de modelos con nivel suficiente para cubrir nuestras necesidades. Y esto es posible porque en Tenerife conviven multitud de personas de diferentes nacionalidades: Alemanes, ingleses, Belgas, rusos, polacos, italianos…además claro está de los locales, lo que permite a las agencias de modelos tener una amplísima oferta. No tendrás ninguna dificultad para encontrar ese modelo rubio, pelirrojo, de color, nórdico o latino.
One of the main challenges, outside of Madrid or Barcelona is casting. Tenerife, however, has a number of modelling agencies. This is because in Tenerife there are people of many different nationalities: Germans, English, Belgians, Russians, Poles, Italians etc and of course the locals, thus providing agencies with a wide variety to choose from. You will not encounter any difficulties finding that blond, red-haired, colored, Nordic or Latino model.

Si te planteas bajar al sur buscando calor, sol o mar, asumirás unos gastos de viaje, hoteles, desayunos, comidas, alquiler de vehículos… (apostando a que realmente luego encuentres buen tiempo)

Si además tienes que llevar los niños modelos, con sus acompañantes, tendrás que añadir su billetes de avión, dietas y hoteles para todos, Esta partida supone un coste muy considerable.

Mi experiencia me dice que es más barato plantear una producción en Tenerife, que en cualquier otro lugar de la península a donde nos tengamos que desplazar más de una noche.
Based on my experience, it is cheaper to perform a photoshoot in Tenerife than in any other place on the peninsula if it involves more than one overnight stay.
